10/10
OMG, the vibes here were just, like, too cute! The staff went above and beyond, even gave me a birthday cake! Loved the rooftop bar—totally a picture-perfect spot with the lighted cathedral view. Room was super comfy, but could use a little more water in the mini-bar. Can’t wait to come back!

The location in Hanoi's Old Quarter was perfect, just a short walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and numerous restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. I appreciated the personal touch, especially when the concierge helped me plan a trip to Ha Long Bay. My room was clean and well-equipped, but the internal window left it feeling cramped. The rooftop bar offered a stunning view, making evenings exceptional despite the busy street noise. A more spacious room for extended stays would greatly enhance the experience where the bathroom setup could also be improved for accessibility.

Exceptional team makes stay memorable
The Grand Hotel Du Lac Hanoi left a remarkable impression on me. Each morning, I awoke to the delightful aroma of fresh pastries, and the incredibly hospitable staff always greeted me with a warm smile. They made fantastic recommendations for local eateries and arranged convenient excursions, making my adventure stress-free.
While the room was pristine and beautifully decorated, I found the lighting somewhat dim—ideal for relaxation but not for getting things done during the day. Additionally, I wished there were more options for brighter environments.

The gym could definitely use improved equipment, especially since the exercise bike was out of order!!! Also, the internal window layout makes the rooms feel a bit claustrophobic, which might not work for everyone!!!

During my business trip, I had a fantastic experience staying here. The team really went above and beyond. I was particularly impressed when a bellman offered to personally transport me to a dinner appointment on a rainy day after I couldn't find a taxi. The hotel is conveniently located near St Joseph Cathedral, making it easy to explore the Old Quarter. I also loved the breakfast options. they had plenty of variety and the views from the dining area were a lovely bonus.
